Tornado Update
The Tornado that struck Ringgold on April 27, 2011 hit close to home for Salem Meadow Farm. Julie and her husband Rusty were in their home in Cherokee Valley the night of the tornado. They were able to get to their basement before it hit with their new jack russell puppy Toto (so renamed for surviving the tornado) and thankfully made it through without a scratch. The horses and structures at Salem Meadow Farm are undamaged, and we are so grateful for this. Unfortunately some of their neighbors were not so lucky. 7 people died in the Cherokee Valley area, and the devastation is heartwrenching. Salem Meadow Farm sends out the deepest condolences to everyone in Ringgold affected by this storm, and is so thankful to all their neighbors in Ringgold and the surrounding area for support in this difficult time. Ringgold has come together as a community to help and comfort those affected by this storm, and it is our hope that we can all move on from this with renewed purpose, and a closer sense of community.
